Frequently asked questions
What does Potsy do?
Potsy is the AI helper in the app. Potsy turns links, videos, photos and text into tidy recipes, changes a recipe when you ask, plans a week of meals from your own cookbook and answers questions while you cook. You see everything before it is saved.
Do we start with an empty cookbook?
No. On day one you pick from 50 family favourites, from pancakes to lasagne, already written in your language. Tick the ones you like and they are in your cookbook, free.
Is Potsy always listening?
Only if you want. Tap Potsy to talk, and the listening stops when you pause. Or turn on “Hey Potsy”: then your phone listens for that name, on the phone itself, and nothing leaves it until you say it. You can also just type.
Family or Sous-chef?
Both have unlimited recipes and Potsy anywhere in the app: type or talk. Sous-chef gives Potsy more energy each week and room for 6 people instead of 4, and Potsy can see: snap a photo of a dish or your fridge and ask about it.
What happens if we cancel?
Nothing is lost. Your first 25 recipes stay fully usable. Recipes added after those are greyed out: they can’t be edited or planned until you subscribe again. Delete one of the first 25 and the next one takes its place.
Is it an app from the App Store?
It's a web app: open it in your browser and add it to your home screen. It looks and works like an app on iPhone, Android, tablets and computers, without a store or a download.
What happens to our data?
Your recipes and plans are visible only to your household. We don’t sell data and show no ads. The details are in the privacy policy.
